What it looks like

In and out before your coffee gets cold.

  1. Walk in. Head to any early voting site your county allows. No appointment needed.
  2. Check in. Give your name, show ID if your state asks, and get your ballot.
  3. Vote. Take your time in a private booth. Poll workers can help if you need it.
  4. Cast it. Feed your ballot into the scanner. Grab your sticker. Done.
0

states and DC offer in-person early voting before Nov 3.

Shorter

lines than Election Day, as a rule. Lots of sites are open on weekends too.

Fallback

If something goes wrong, like a missing ID or the wrong site, you still have time to fix it.
